Emails from listeners and friends:

I've been meaning to write to you since I found out about your "budget cuts" and the fact that you laid off Jim Bednarek. Big mistake...My mom and I have been listening to Jim for many years and were very disappointed to hear he was gone. He is a very sweet man who has given my Mom many years of pleasure with his great personality. He always made us feel as if we were part of a "family" of listeners. I would sure hope that the readio station could straighten out the budge and bring back one of Tucson's favorite D.J.s. WE MISS JIM!!!!!

"I am sorry you're no longer with me and the hundreds of others during the mornings, helping us prepare for the day with a smile. However, I know something better is waiting for you, although the waiting is very difficult. Yep, I know it sounds "pollyanish" but I've learned that "things" do happen for a reason. Of one thing you can be sure, you're on my prayer list."

Mary - Tucson

"I guess, like everyone else, I was shocked o read of your release from KTUC. After not hearing you for two days, I called them on Friday and was simply told you were no longer at the station. I checked your website and got the real story. I KNOW one day soon we'll be listening to you again and wish you the best of luck.

Please keep us informed. Thanks"

"I'm very disappointed that KTUC let you go. I listened to your Morning Show every day because I enjoyed waking up to your humor and interesting information you shared. Thanks so much for the years of enjoyment with your Morning Show. PLEASE let us know when, not if, you join another (and smarter!) radio station. Your loyal listeners will be joining you there!"
Take care.

"I am sorry that you are no longer doing the morning show. My mornings are just not the same. I much prefer to have a local DJ - time, weather, news, etc. - and I liked all your features. I have expressed my discontent to the station and am getting ready to do so again - more forcefully. In fact, I am probably going to start listening to another station, especially in the morning. I hope to hear you again, soon. Are you at another station?"

"I'm sorry to hear that your radio job has been zapped. Is this
part of the economic slowdown? You have a huge and admiring following
in Tucson and we hope that you will soon be receiving another offer soon."

"My entire family and I are big fans of Jim Bednarek. I called the station a couple of days ago wondering why Jim was not on the air and was told he no longer works there. They were not disclosing other details. If Jim is going to another station, I will follow. We love the music he plays and thanks to him and his personality, my kids have been exposed to a great variety of music. We also love his contests and whenever I have won, I always brought him goodies.

The only reason I listened was because of Jim, so budget cuts or not, if they lose listeners, they won't need a budget at all! We truly enjoyed your show. When I first started listening to you,the music you played brought back so many great memories that it reminded me that I had a great life!

We Miss you!"
